Delete your ROOT account

Open the ROOT app and go to your Account section, then tap Delete account. You will be asked to confirm. Once confirmed, your account and the data listed below are deleted.

Email info@rootathletic.comfrom the email address associated with your ROOT account, with the subject "Delete my account." We use the sending address to verify the request. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days, and sooner where feasible.

Deleting your account permanently removes, or irreversibly de-identifies, the personal data we hold for you, including:

• Your account and profile — email address, nickname, and body weight.
• Your training data — the exercises, sets, reps, weights, and cardio you logged in the app.
• Health & fitness data read with your permission from Apple Health / Android Health Connect (heart rate, resting heart rate, sleep, workouts, distance), and the metrics we derived from it — recovery score, cardio training load, VO₂max, fitness age, muscle balance, and athletic score.
• Your coach connection, if you had one — your data stops being visible to any connected coach.

After deletion we may retain a limited amount of information where the law requires it — for example records needed to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations. Anything retained is kept only for as long as that obligation requires and is then removed or kept in an aggregated, de-identified form that can no longer be linked to you. We do not retain your health & fitness data after deletion.

Paid subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple or Google, not by ROOT. Deleting your ROOT account does not automatically cancel a store subscription. To cancel or manage a subscription, use Manage Subscriptions in the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not hold your payment details.
